M2sat MicroSNG provides an ultralight SNG system where optimal portability
and user friendliness are combined with high quality video capabilities.
The M2sat MicroSNG system is based on the Inmarsat BGAN system providing
a dedicated service up to 256 kbps from a Thrane and Thrane BGAN terminal
with integrated Tandberg Video Codec. No external pc or laptop is needed
to operate the system.
The terminal and codec units are integrated in a dust proof metal case that
can stand harsh environments.

The MicroSNGs Tandberg video codec seamlessly integrates the power of video-conferencing,
live video transmissions and IP-video streaming into a richly featured and
easy to use product.
The complete SNG solution involves one video codec integrated in the MicroSNG
case, with another codec installed in the studio or newsroom. Setting up
a video session via the MicroSNG is as simple as making a telephone call,
just dial the (ISDN) number of the newsroom and push the CONNECT button.
The MicroSNG supports H.263 and H.264 video transmission, over ISDN and
IP networks. The system is fully compatible to existing Video Store and
Forward systems (e.g. like the Voyager light system). Also the unit provides
full internet access or IP-Connectivity to corporate networks.
