System components

As end to end system MarineCam includes an on-board component including camera and video interface unit and a shore based Maritime Video Server to make the video and still pictures available via the internet.

On-board MarineCam system

onboard camera
High quality On board MarineCan Camera with integrated pan/tilt head. Available for indoor and outdoor installation.
On board Video Interfact Unit that transmits the live video or still pictures via existing on board satcom equipment

Shore based Maritime Video Server

The live video stream or still pictures from the camera are sent via Inmarsat or VSAT satellites to a land earth station and from there via a telecom line to the on shore video server. The video server is connected to the internet, and displays the live video and the still pictures to viewers in the corporate network or to authorised viewers in the internet. The server supports multiple simulaneous viewers. All connections are secure to ensure the customers privacy.

maritime video server
The Maritime Video Server broadcasts the live video streams on the internet, optionally to multiple users. It also published the still pictures on designed webpages, e.g. the company's intranet or homepage.
still pictures

The Maritime Video Server contains all system management modules to give shipping companies the tools to fine tune access to the camera's and decide who can view what and how long

The server collects all traffic information and has modules for user and system administration. The video server The server might be located in the shipping companies corporate network or alternatively with a service provider.
