The portable M2sat Ku SNGlight comes in a transport case suitable for rough
operating conditions, in combination with a choice of 1.0 and 1.2 meter FlyAway Ku-band antennas.
The FlyAway can be rapidly deployed and operated by a single person.
The satellite terminal supports broadband services with data rates up to
10 Mbps depending on antenna and satellite used. Both AC and DC power options are available, DC allowing battery
operations.
Plug and play
The satellite terminal offers 2 Ethernet interfaces and the
built-in DHCP Server simplifies the connection of a laptop or PC.
The terminal also has standard video and audio interfaces. Just plug in your camera and microphone! For bandwidht rates up to 2 Mbps The Tandberg video codec seamlessly integrates the power of video-conferencing,
live video transmissions and IP-video streaming into a richly featured and
easy to use product.
Setting up a video session on the Tandberg is as simple as making a telephone
call, just dial the (ISDN) number of the newsroom and push the CONNECT button.
The Tandberg supports H.263 and H.264 video transmission, over ISDN and
IP networks.
Coverage (using Eutelsat satellite fleet)
The Ku SNGlight is a FlyAway Satellite News Gathering unit that is using cost efficient Ku-band bandwidth. The unit takes
only 15 minutes to set up and can be used anywhere in Europe, Africa, the
Middle East, Central Asia and India using a range of Eutelsat satellites
(AB1,2,3, W3A, Sesat1 and 3, W5, Euro Bird).
A complete end-to-end system
The complete SNG solution involved one codec integrated
in the KuSNGlight, and another codec that is installed in the studio or newsroom. M2sat takes care of the installation in the studio and support a seamless integration in the existing ICT infrastructure.
