M2sat Broadband Satellite Networks
Introduction
We design and implement Broadband Satellite Networks for our customers using a range of satellite platforms. We are specialised in networks that provide guaranteed bandwidth services and for that use the own M2sat platform that was developed in house over the last years. We do this for Media and Government customers that look for high reliability and dedicated services.
The platform provides dedicated bandwidth services in SCPC mode via existing geostationary satellites and can be deployed over L-band, Ku-band and X-band satellites.
M2sat platform for SCPC services
The M2sat platform provides broadband satellite systems using a range of portable, mobile or fixed satellite terminals. The platform has been operational on L-band satellites like Thuraya in the past 4 years and on Ku-band satellites like Eutelsat since 2 years. The platform provides dedicated bandwidth services in SCPC mode via existing geostationary satellites and supports time- and frequency sharing of the available satellite capacity. The platform can be deployed over L-band, Ku-band and X-band satellites.
The M2sat platform consists of the following components:
* M2sat Gateways / Hubs at Teleport location
*
Portable user terminal equipment (M2sat terminals) in the field
* M2sat Network Control Centre (Bremen, Germany)
* Additional system modules (e.g. M2sat remote line-up control, M2sat network and traffic management tools)
Supporting a range of Broadband Satcom platforms
Besides the M2sat platform we also design Broadband Systems and Satellite Networks using other satellite platforms like the Inmarsat BGAN network or Starbased TDMA platforms like the Viasat DVB-RCS platform or iDirect. This depending on the customer requirements.
