snglight case.................... thuraya coverage

The M2sat SNGlight portable satellite terminal comes in a trolley case suitable for rough operating conditions. Carried by hand, it can be rapidly deployed and operated by a single person.

The M2sat is the first of the new generation of integrated, portable Satellite News Gathering units with broadband that can be used anywhere within the Thuraya footprint, covering Europe, North and Central Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and India and in 2008 the whole of Asia!

The terminal supports broadband services with data rates up to 384 kbps. Both AC and DC power options are available, DC allowing battery operations. The terminal offers 3 Ethernet interfaces and the built-in DHCP Server simplifies the connection of standard PC’s, Laptops and other user equipment.

Thet Tandberg video codec seamlessly integrates the power of videoconferencing, live video transmissions and IP-video streaming into a richly featured and easy to use product. The complete solutions involved two units: One integrated in the SNG-Ligth, and another that is installed in the studio or newsroom. Setting up a session on the Tandberg is as simple as making a telephone call, just dial the number and push the CONNECT button. The Tandberg supports H.320, H.323 and H.264, over ISDN and IP networks.
